This is Part 3: Led Zeppelin at Live Aid Any requests Whatta Whole Lotta Love This clip has been cleaned up: the green hues from the 20 yr old + tape has been removed, the brightness contrast have been balanced out. The audio has been synchronized to the FM broadcast captured on an old cassette tape. That audio was pretty messed up had lots of dropouts, hopefully the results are satisfactory. Live Aid featured amazing reunions by everyone from Black Sabbath to the Who to Crosby, Stills, Nash Young, but the most anticipated one of that incredible day in 1985 was easily Led Zeppelin. The three surviving members hadn t performed together since John Bonham died five years earlier and expectations were extremely high when they took the stage at Philadelphia s JFK Stadium. It was horrendous, Robert Plant told Rolling Stone in 1988.
