Oil Painting FAIL: How to start over, Painting a Maine Coon kitten

Have you ever been painting and realized you just couldn t save the piece That happened to me this weekend I covered up the entire canvas, let the paint dry, and then realized I didn t want that background at all, and instead I wanted to be able to see the raw linen that I had just covered up. So today I want to share how I solved that problem from how I realized this painting wasn t working, how I could have avoided needing to start over, how I m going to recycle my first panel so it doesn t go to waste, and how I made sure that my second attempt to paint my adorable Maine Coon cat, Boomer, wouldn t fail.
