Kandinsky Noir Feeling Nothing ( The Privilege of the Rope) feat. Elisa of 3+ Dead
Kandinsky Noir is a Berlin based solo project by Anto inspired by EBM, PostPunk, Industrial, Progressive Metal sounds. The focus of the composition is on relentless odd time signatures, heavy dissonant guitar riffs, catchy choruses and a combination of guttural and clean vocals. Feeling Nothing (The Privilege of the Rope) is a suite in 3 parts revolving about the presence of different saxophone leitmotivs that permeate the structure of the piece. It is a praise of failure, an ode to existential emptiness. The choice of the sax as the main instrument is due to its unique nature related to breathing: when the music stops, the breathing stops. The long solo at the end creates a sort of double movement between the almost black metal double kick drum pattern and the soothing sound of the brass, as a crescendo towards the inevitable tragedy, in fear and relief. This track saw the collaboration of the portentous Elisa Pambianchi, Frontwoman of the Italian Darkwave Band 3+Dead and the mesmerising saxophone play
