Restoration of a vintage german Glashütte Chronometer GUB Caliber 70. 3 service
This time Im restoring a Glashütte Chronometer from the 60s. Its powered by the GUB 70. 3 caliber (chronometer certified). The watch is in a bad condition: The goldplating of the case is a bit damaged, the glass is scratched and the movement is not running like a chronometer should. I need to replace the broken settinglever screw and the secondwheel because its wobbling. After everything is cleaned and polished, I can reassemble the movement with some fresh oil. After that, this watch is in a awesome beat (+0 to +1 seconds per day) again. I decided to keep the original goldplating even if it is damaged a bit. I prefer a vintagelooking original plating then a brandnew looking notoriginalplating. What would you prefer Keep the originalplating or replate the case I hope you liked this restoration, if so, like, comment and subscribe; ) Subscribe to my channel: Music: Ersatz Bossa Sting by John Deley and the 41 Players Scar
