just a few months before she died, Mariska (not knowing she was that sick) recorded a new jazzy version of her worldwide hit Venus. in the video you see some pics I made in august 2006. Dolf de Vries, de man behind the piano, produced the record and was telling what a lovely day he had with her. he tells Mariska was proud to be asked for the record between other stars as the three degrees, Billy Paul, Gary Brooker, Johney Logan, and more. you could say, this was the last recording she made.
