How to Dougie: Instructions 1. To do a kick cross step, start with aloose kick forward with your right foot. As you kick, make sure to do a slight bounce. While you re doing the kick, lean to your left. Your kick will go left, crossing in front of your left leg, and you ll naturally catch yourself with that right foot. This should be a natural movement, not a forced one, so you shouldn t find yourself forcing anything. 2. Step to the left and forward with your left leg, uncrossing your legs. Adding Arm and Body Movements The kick cross step is primarily a footwork move, so you can also incorporate your arms and body into it. There are two parts to the arm movement. First, cross your right wrist over your left wrist in front of your stomach. After this, open your arms up and to both sides of you and snap your fingers on both hands.
