Living Wild In The Rainforest: Swimming under Waterfalls and Growing A Permaculture Food Forest
With the changing seasons, we ve been challenging ourselves to spend as much time in nature as possible. We ve been waking early and swimming in the cool water, playing under waterfalls and eating freshly picked fruit. We ve been working in our permaculture garden, planting trees and harvesting sweet potatoes and turmeric, weeding and removing pests all with the help of the sweet ducks who are the best natural pesticides After some more work out in the fields, clearing weeds and picking tropical fruit, we celebrate the cooler nights by lighting a fire, watching the sunset and sleeping under the stars. We live and farm on the land of the Arakwal and Minjungbal People of Bundjalung and these practices of regenerative living, agriculture and permaculture owe their roots and theories to Indigenous knowledge they have been practiced by Indigenous People around the world for so many years.
