Lina and Hazar are two sisters of Syrian origin, now living in the United States. They share their individual journeys out of religious belief, one influencing the other. Hazar was the first to leave. The struggle to gain acceptance for her sexual identity only added to the intellectual incoherencies she found within the faith.
