Young painter Shyam thwarts his industrialist father Srivastavs request to marry the daughter of a rich man. He elopes with his love, Renu but is caught in the midst of a conspiracy. A girl, Meera is found to be dead and Shyam is blamed. But it turns out Meera is alive. When Shyam is free and goes back to Renu, she has married someone else.
