Most difficult landing in the world: Bhutans Paro Airport in winter rain
Landing at Paro airport is said to be one of the more difficult landings at any airport in the world, as the valley is surrounded by steep hillsides and snow mountains and any approach or exit from the valley must be rapid and steep, in order to surmount the valley walls. Here, a Bhutan Airlines aeroplane belonging to the Tashi Group comes in to land at the only airport in the landlocked Kingdom of Bhutan, sending up a plume of water behind each engine, on the runway, thanks to the recent winter
