HQ Queen Making of Princes Of The Universe

Two weeks after recording the video to A Kind Of Magic, Queen and Russell Mulcahy reunited to film the promo for Princes Of The Universe, in New York. Due to the connections with Highlander, the set was a recreation of several of those in the film, and the band asked star Christopher Lambert to appear. The set of the video itself was on an epic scale: recreating the rooftop location from the finale, and the crumbling castle in which Sean Connery and Clancy Brown fight midway through the giving Brian May arguably his most 80 s moment as he stands astride the staircase, twiddling away at the song s guitar solo as the walls behind him collapse and wind swirls around him.
