The Candide Thovex Comeback I 2010 Freeride World Champion Best Runs
In 2010, at the age of 27, Candide Thovex pulled off one of the most impressive comebacks of alltime. After winning just about every Freestyle competition (including three golds at the Aspen Winter X Games in the Big Air, Super Pipe and Slopestyle), Candide missed the 2008 and 2009 seasons through what many saw as a career ending injury. In 2010, Candide returned to competitive sport, but this time around, he chose freeriding and decided to enter the 2010 Freeride World Tour. The skier from La Clusaz began in imperious fashion with a win in the first stage in Chamonix, and followed that up with a 2nd place finish in the second leg of the Tour. After finishing further down the scoreboard at Palisades Tahoe (in 17th), Candide arrived in Verbier occupying second place in the provisional overall rankings.
