Himalayan Monals are one of the most beautiful birds in the world. This one is very tame and loves peanuts. Himalayan Monals are also often called Impeyan Monal or Impeyan Pheasant or Danphe (Danfe). Their scientific name is Lophophorus impejanus. It is native to the Himalaya regions of Afghanistan, Kashmir region of Northern Pakistan, Northern India, Nepal, southern Tibet, Bhutan and possibly Burma (Myanmar). The Himalayan Monal is the National bird of Nepal.
