Brazil: Military convoy delivers donated food to indigenous villages in Sao Paulo amid pandemic
Subscribe to our channel Brazilian army officers travelled to two indigenous villages in the outskirts of Sao Paulo on Friday to deliver a food donation collected by Brazil s largest wholesale market. The trucks departed to Tenonde Pora and Krukutu villages in the early hours of the day to provide food to hundreds of families living in remote areas of Brazil s biggest city suffering from the economic hardship intensified by the coronavirus pandemic. We are inside the village due to COVID. We try to avoid going out, only staying in our community and leaving when strictly necessary. But since last year, we basically remain inside the village, Maria, a local Guarani said. We are very happy with this donation, she added. Fruits, vegetables, and basic food baskets could be seen being unloaded by the military in one of the villages.
