Angelina Jolies hard hitting new movie is welcomed in Cambodia
(19 Feb 2017) ANGELINA JOLIE S HARDHITTING NEW MOVIE IS WELCOMED IN CAMBODIA In Cambodia for the premiere of her new movie First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers, Angelina Jolie and her six children began their day with a private reception with King Sihamoni in the official royal residence in Siem Reap. The King, a well known lover of the arts, attended the premiere along with a host of senior government officials and others associated with the production. The screening took place in the Temple of the Elephant terrace, a couple of kilometers from where Jolie shot her breakout 2001 film Tomb Raider. The film, about the murderous Khmer Rouge regime seen through the eyes of a young girl, was a labor of love for Jolie, who has long had a special relationship with Cambodia.
