An 18th Century English Guittar
I acquired this instrument in the summer of 2001 after finding it on eBay. It has been provisionally identified by several experts as a Simpson of London instrument, dating from some time after 1770 and before 1800. There are not many original English Guittars remaining in an original unrestored condition; this one has a repair to the headstock, which is incorrect in design, presumably replacing a broken original, but is otherwise unmodified.
