Canada Bread has been fined a record 50 million after pleading guilty to conspiring to raise the price of bread in 2007 and 2011. Experts think one of the reasons why pricefixing happened in this instance was how easy it is, with a limited number of competitors in the market due to the consolidation and existing monopolies in the Canadian economy.
