The G 310 R features a new watercooled 313cc Singlecylinder engine with DOHC. Just like the Single in the stunt bike concept, the engines lone cylinder is tilted to the rear and the cylinder head has been rotated by 180degrees, a move BMW says helps lower the bikes center of gravity. Thanks to the reverse cylinder configuration, the intake is forwardmounted.
