Seit Jahren wächst die Rivalität der Großmächte in Afrika. Doch nach dem Putsch im Niger droht die Lage in einen Krieg zu eskalieren. Denn mit dem Machtwechsel in dem Wüstenstaat befindet sich nahezu die gesamte strategisch wichtige SahelZone an der Seite Russlands und Chinas. Und damit auch die riesigen Uranvorkommen, mit denen die bisherige Hegemonialmacht Frankreich ihren Strom produziert. Doch die aktuelle Krise im Sahel ist nur der gegenwärtige Höhepunkt der Auseinandersetzungen.
