Columbia AQ Graphophone Phonograph
Good day YouTubers Here we have a very original Columbia AQ Graphophone which dates from 1904. Always very nice to have in the collection one of these. This one is in lovely original condition and plays very well once it has been meticulously setup. These need to be exactly level and there is an adjusting foot just underneath the spring barrel support to enable this. A much better engineered version of the European Puck Phonograph models, this is the sister model to the Columbia AP which didn t have the feedscrew. APs I believe were given away as a scheme machine to encourage people to buy Columbia wax cylinders. Any extra information experts of the YouTube can provide will be more than welcome and I can add this to the text. Playing on this AQ is an original Edison Bell 2 minute wax cylinder, number 10212 which is labelled as Descriptive March Past of the Brigade, the performers being The London Regimental Band.
