Marla and Naghmah met while teaching at Asheville Percussion Festival. They enjoyed playing together at the festival and the seed was planted for future this (In this video, Naghmeh is playing a Persian Tonbak and Marla is playing a 18 Cooperman Frame Drum). ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Naghmeh Farahmand is an internationally acclaimed performer and teacher on Iranian percussion. She learned traditional Iranian percussion with her father Mahmoud Farahmand and other renowned teachers.
