Mad World
Mad World is a 1982 song by the British band Tears for Fears. Mad World has since been covered by various artists, most notably by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules for the soundtrack of the film Donnie Darko in 2001. Michael Andrews is an American multiinstrumental musician and film score composer. Gary Jules is an American singersongwriter. Andrews enlisted Jules to sing the song, while Andrews himself played the piano; together they recorded the song in an hour and a half. The video was directed and animated by critically acclaimed illustrator Steve Cutts, based in London, England, who took inspiration from Max Fleischers iconic animation of the 1930s. Originally, the video was made for the 2016 song Are You Lost in the World like Me from the album These Systems Are Failing by Moby and The Void Pacific Choir.
