Anthorn Ruin Of Twilight (full album, 2022)

Korpituli Productions have unearthed some obsidian gems from the archives of Finnish black metal in the form of Anthorn a shortlived band that released two demos and played one gig in 1999 before disbanding. This release, titled Ruin Of Twilight, collects together this subterranean bands two demos into a mastered album in cassette and digital formats, in what I hope will be the first of more cratedigging releases to be showcases through this excellent label. The tracks here deliver some exemplary melodicism, roughed up with that characteristic frostblasted Finnish rawness mixing the kind of fiendish malevolence and mysticism that legendary black metal is made of. Preorders are open on the label bandcamp now. Tapes are due in October, limited to 100 copies in uv printed shells, with 4panel jcards in clear cases.
