Les femmes sont cachées des hommes pour éviter toute sexualité hors mariage qui remettrait en cause la paternité, ombre de Dieu sur Terre. La mariée cache son visage pour les mêmes raisons. Le mariage est arrangé, le marié découvrira le visage de son épouse quand le mariage sera contracté. Le destin d une épouse vertueuse est d être esclaveépousemèreporteuse pour son mari et maître, afin de lui donner des héritiers mâles légitimes.
