Angry Broody Hen

This is my Lavender Pekin, usually quite a placid girl. However when she is broody nobody dares get too close, for fear of being pecked. Without the gloves she would definitely draw blood. I like to remove her from the nest box at least once a day to ensure she is looking after herself properly. When removed (using gloves) she eats, drinks and dust baths.
