Intersex rights activist Tinou Ponzer shares what challenges one has to navigate as a person who does not fit into the narrative and expectations of two sexes. Tinou coins the term internormality and brings a topic into our awareness that few have ever bothered to consider prior to this beautiful TEDx talk. Tinou Ponzer is the chairperson of VIMÖ, the Association of Intersex People in Austria, and works for the Vienna branch of VIMÖ. In addition to awareness raising, public relations, organising community events, advocacy and policy work for intersex rights, Tinou Ponzer is a trainer and peer counselor at VARGES, the counseling centre for variations of sex characteristics. Tinou Ponzer is also coeditor of the anthology InterPride perspectives from a worldwide human rights movement and was significantly involved in the VIMÖ Vienna theatre production INTERStory a piece of activism i
