Ribbon worms are very effective predators. After immobilising a polychaete using its eversible proboscis which secretes toxic mucus, the ribbon worm swallows the prey whole. The species in this footage is the marine Ramphogordius sanguineus. Footage courtesy of Serena A. Caplins
