The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in Light Pollution with Fabio Falchi

Fabio Falchi, one of the authors of the First Atlas of Artificial Night Sky Brightness, explores what data and mapping show us about the status of light pollution around the globe. This presentation is a part of International Dark Sky Week 2020. International Dark Sky Week is a weeklong celebration of the night. Its an opportunity for us all to consider the role of the night and its starfilled sky in each of our lives. This year, IDA is encouraging people around the world to come together online to celebrate the night and engage with authors, creators, scientists, and educators whose works have been vital to the movement to protect the night from light pollution.
