KC was not happy with the song, and was inspired when he thought about the DJ s who played his band s music in the clubs. That s when the lyric I m your boogie man came out and he finished the song making the DJ the subject and working in the idea that he was there to help and make you feel better. On the album Part 3, it segues directly into Keep It Comin Love keeping the dancers on the floor and preaching to the masses to not give up, the Rev KC was testifying He felt that many fight to get somewhere to get ahead, but end up quitting just before they would have succeeded and these two songs together got the message out there. The chart ascension of I m Your Boogie Man made it their fourth, 1 hit of the 70 s and made them the second group to do so.
