Gato Barbieri Last Tango in Paris
Leandro Gato Barbieri (28 November 1932 2 April 2016) was an Argentine jazz tenor saxophonist and composer who rose to fame during the free jazz movement in the 1960s and is known for his Latin jazz recordings of the 1970s. His nickname, Gato, is Spanish for cat. Last Tango in Paris (Italian: Ultimo Tango a Parigi) is a 1972 Italian romantic drama film directed by Bernardo Bertolucci which portrays a recent American widower who takes up an anonymous sexual relationship with a young, soontobemarried Parisian woman. It stars Marlon Brando, Maria Schneider, and JeanPierre Leaud. Music by Gato Barbieri
