Myra Hess plays Bachs Adagio (video)

Dame Myra Hess (18901965) plays her arrangement of J. S. Bach s Adagio from Adagio, Toccata Fugue in C major, BWV 564. Filmed in 1954. Though the sound is quite wobbly from time to time, I think it is a moving document, if only because to my knowledge it s the only existing filmed footage of Myra Hess addressing her audience after playing.
