Friday Freakout Skydivers Parachute Rips In Half

This was from my 6th jump. Cat. D2 AFF. The slider shot down immediately, leading to a hard opening. The opening was hard enough to cause the canopy to explode, leaving 6 cells on the reserve side and 3 on the cutaway side. I immediately cut away and deployed the reserve, which I landed safely. I cracked a couple ribs and bruised a few more during opening. I took two weeks off to heal, and then raced back to the dropzone to start jumping again. I finished my A license a month or two later
