Cherkassky plays Rubinstein Melody in F

Melody in F, op. 3 composed in 1852( ), dedicated to Grand Duchess Pawlowna. Anton Rubinstein s Melody in F has a companion piece, the Melody in B, op. 3 the two were meant to be played together, but the B major piece was never as popular as the F major one. While these pieces were marked as they actually were written later than the designation suggests, coming after the Two Funeral Marches.
