A fairy tale fantasy filmed in Jamaica, involving a mythical kingdom, a mad sultan, a good fairy, a wicked witch, mermaids, gnomes, and Anitia, an chanted and carefree woman of the sea. Reportedly the first American movie to cost more than a million dollars against the wishes of producer William Fox, who fired director Herbert Brenon and took his name off the credits.
