Burkina Faso set to announce new interim president

Burkina Faso will announce a new leader after the second military coup this year, as the countrys national assembly kicks off this Friday. The military, led by captain Ibrahim Traore, seized power in the West African country two weeks ago. The regime change prompted protesters to rally in the streets, marching with Russian flags and demanding to cut ties with France, Burkina Fasos former colonial ruler.
