The Catholic Easter is a religious feast that reminds me of Sicily. Combined, the Catholic Easter and Sicily, remind me of Cavalleria Rusticana, the worlds shortest opera, said once Marcos, a friend and a mentor to whom I owe my initiation into the world of Opera. I dedicate this video to Marcos, wishing him to be in Sicily next Easter Those who are not familiar with Opera will certainly remember the music of the famous movie The Godfather III whereby parts of Cavalleria Rusticana were played. Cavalleria Rusticana (Rustic Chivalry) was composed by Pietro Mascagni, and the libretto was written by Giovanni TargioniTozzetti and Guido Menasci after the play by Giovanni Verga.
