Unnatural History (1930)
Full titles read: And now Pathetone presents some Unnatural History by Prof. Billy Bennett almost (timecode obscures title. ) London, probably Pathe Studio. M, S of comedian Billy Bennett introducing his comedy lecture on bats. Various shots of bats follow most look quite uncomfortable They are examined, have their wings stretched, and are generally poked and prodded while Billy gives us a humorous commentary. There is a horrible shot of a bat having a wing pulled off. Part of this bat sequence seems to have been cut. Back to Billy who tells us that is all he knows about bats; for further information we should consult Mr Jack Hobbs. More patter, then another comedy lecture about possums, showing various shots of a mother possum with babies clinging to her back; other possums runs over a man s hand and a boy s head. A dog sniffs the mother possum, covered with babies; she snaps at him. The dog is seen with some baby possums on his back; he then shakes them off. Back to
