Tango Stravinsky, guitar arrangement
The Covid crisis is a difficult period for the arts, but being at home with cancelled concerts, I got inspired to stay creative by Igor Stravinsky. When he went to Hollywood in 1940, he faced a financial struggle since he could not count on rolyalties from his compositions in Europe due to copyright issues. So he wrote this Tango, mostly with the idea of composing a shorter piece in a style that would please a larger audience. It was an instant succes and became one of hist most recorded works. Hence he inspired me to be creative in other ways than live concerts: I got the motivation to start learning how to record myself and even try to make my next CD recording at home. Here is a first I. Stravinsky: Tango arr. for solo guitar: K. Claeys Gear: micro: Rode NT5 Audio interface: RME Fireface Camera s: Canon m50 Guitar by Michel Belair (2016)
