They have sprung up in Tokyo, Berlin and now in New York. Microcinemas are small theatres where independent filmmakers have a chance to show their work to an audience, without having to sell their film first. They provide the opposite experience of watching a bigaction billiondollar blockbuster but have their own way of tempting audiences to come to the cinema.
