Corpus Christi Procession (1914 1918)
Corpus Christi Procession we did not ask for a truce. Location of events unknown somewhere in England. Corpus Christi Procession; on a rainy day in 1918. Catholic ceremony. Altar boy swinging incense. Tapestry icons; very elaborate designs; held up on poles above marchers. Very young British World War One soldiers. Then a lovely shot of children walking; dressed in white. A girl a few years older holds one of these poles with the pictures on it; it also has four streamers coming down which are held by smaller children; this pattern is repeated in the procession. Blessed Are They Who Mourn says the next standard; then For they shall be Comforted. Line of men; not priests; carry statue. Little girls with white veils over their heads walk alongside. A whole lot of little girls in white dresses; carrying more signs. By Thine Agony and Passion Jesu Deliver Us; etc. CU group of young boys in uniforms; with woodwind instruments.
