NYO USA Performs Anna Clyne s Sound and Fury
The National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYOUSA) performs Anna Clynes Sound and Fury with conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto. Clynes 2019 composition draws on two great works of art for its inspiration: Haydns Symphony No. 60, Il Distratto, and Shakespeares Macbeth. To learn more about Carnegie Halls national youth ensembles, including how to apply, visit Each summer, Carnegie Halls national youth ensembles bring together the brightest young American instrumentalists for free intensive training and performances on some of the worlds greatest stages. After being unable to gather in the summer of 2020, the 100 musicians of NYOUSA (ages 1619) convened in July 2021 at Purchase College outside New York City. Their three weeks of coaching and rehearsals culminated in digital concert performances.
