Miss Lailani Screams The House Down

Although we usually only raise Black and Greyheaded flyingfoxes, this year has seen many Little Red flyingfoxes orphaned in a central Queensland city. Miss Lailani is a three week old Little Red and typical of her species, she can be rather vocal and demonstrative. We use a dummy, pacifier to replicate mothers nipple and you can hear the abject misery and desperation in Lailani s voice when her dummy is removed.
