There are lots of crossborder friendships and in some sense, it is these friendships that build understanding between people from different countries and make the world a better place. In 2016 she applied to enter the Humen Cup, an international Womenswear Design Contest held in Humen city in Guangdong. Over 30, 000 people applied, and Karro was selected as one of only 30 designers to show her designs on the catwalk. When Karro arrived in Humen she met Whitney (Huang Yingyi, from Dongguan), who was there to show her around the site and explain how the competition would work.
