A Virtual Duet Enrico Caruso, tenor, and Rosa Ponselle, soprano sing The Tomb Scene from Verdi s AIDA Act IV. La fatal pietra and O terra addio recorded on Nov. 67, 1909 (Caruso and Gadski) and on Feb. 8, 1924 (Ponselle and Martinelli). All sessions recorded at Camden, New Jersey. The Ponselle, Martinelli sides were not published during the 78 rpm era. Digitally transferred directly from original 12inch discs recorded acoustically and speed corrected. Magix audio software was applied to reduce noise and to enhance tonal qualities.
