Forging a KATANA out of Rusted SHACKLE, Davids Profession How i made this beautiful Katana from the shackle is as under Forging: The shackle was almost all made up of steel, and took 8 hours (continuous work) to turn up it into a flat iron bar. The hammering was all with the hands and muscle power. I turned it to a 32 inches long iron bar, URL: Grinding: Bevel was made with the angle grinder, because i had an old and expired belt grinder. This exercise was tiresome and took 2 days to make the bevel on the blade. Made blood grove with the rotary pencil grinder.
