Forging a KATANA out of Rusted SHACKLE, Davids Profession How i made this beautiful Katana from the shackle is as under Forging: The shackle was almost all made up of steel, and took 8 hours (continuous work) to turn up it into a flat iron bar. The hammering was all with the hands and muscle power. I turned it to a 32 inches long iron bar, URL: Grinding: Bevel was made with the angle grinder, because i had an old and expired belt grinder. This exercise was tiresome and took 2 days to make the bevel on the blade. Made blood grove with the rotary pencil grinder. Worked with file to make the surface even, and later on hand sanded the flat iron bar to make it more soft and
