Subtitled: Just a few of the things a Nurse writes home Hoxton, London. Interior of what is probably a nurses home. Four nurses sit in a room with several beds and dressing tables. The nurse nearest the camera is writing a letter, one reads a book and another does some sewing. C, U of piece of writing paper with the words: Dearest Mother, Glad to say I am now nicely settled in my work followed by a C, U of the nurse who is writing the letter. Every morning Mothers from far and near bring their tiny mites to us Exterior shot women carry babies down a narrow terraced street and into a doorway close to the camera. It looks to be a poor area. C, U of a young boy (4 or 5) leading a younger baby along. He is followed by other mothers and a father carrying their children into the hospital.
