NICHOLAS GREENWOOD Cold Cuts Kingdom UK 1972 MEGA RARE Prog, Psych 4750
Here we have one of the most sought after records of them all. Recorded in 1969 by former Crazy World of Arthur Brown bassist Nicholas Greenwood but not released until 1972 on Kingdom records (KVL 9002) a label best known for reggae, soul releases it simply slipped under the radar. Titled Cold Cuts it came with a bizarre front cover showing cuts of meat stacked like a person on a chair (this probably didnt help sales) but musically it is very strong, which is why a top UK copy sold for 4750 in 2014 and even lower condition copies will sell for 1000+ (there was also a 1973 Benelux release on Pink Elephant that sometimes sells for hundreds of pounds but it is the UK release on Kingdom that really fetches the money) Why not subscribe as I post rarities regularly Side 1 1. A Sea Of Holy Pleasure Parts I, II, III 0:00 2. Hope And Ambitions 7:12 3. Corruption 10:06 4. Lead Me On 13:17 5. Big Machine 17:06 1. Close The Doors 20:48 2. Melancholy 25:16
