The Yamnaya people, also known as the ProtoIndoEuropeans, were a people believed to have lived on the Steppes of Ukraine. After making a number of advancements in animal husbandry, the ProtoIndoEuropeans expanded and conquered across Europe and down into India. The Yamnaya people were able to spread their language across these regions, and over time this tongue began to diverge, creating the seperateyetrelated IndoEuropean languages of today.
