Troise And His Mandoliers (1932)
No titles (there may have originally been a spoken introduction, but only a few frames are seen. ) Various shots of Troise and his Mandoliers (a whole orchestra of mandolin players, plus two accordions, a piano, vibes and a guitar played Hawaiianstyle) playing Gypsy Moon. Tenor Don Carlos (playing a small guitar or a large ukulele) sings the lyrics. Several shots are intercut showing the moon in the night sky. Followed by a very unfunny (to this cataloguer) introduction by a man eating a banana. He comes out from behind a theatre stage curtain and introduces Charlie Coburn (the original Man Who Broke The Bank At Monte Carlo ). Charlie Coburn s act is missing and doesn t appear to belong to this issue anyway. Duplicate exists in Turns Can 6 see separate record for details. FILM A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
