When two male Komodo dragons fight, they engage in a ritualistic behavior known as standoff where they rear up on their hind legs, puff up their throats to appear larger, and lash out at each other with their powerful tails and sharp claws. They may also try to bite each other and wrestle until one eventually submits and retreats.
